goodreadsBaseball isn’t supposed to be a game of life and death…

The summer that Chase Stern entered my life, I was seventeen. The daughter of a legend, the Yankees were my family, their stadium my home, their dugout my workplace. My focus was on the game. Chase … he started out as a distraction. A distraction with sex appeal poured into every inch of his six foot frame. A distraction who played like a god and partied like a devil.

I tried to stay away. I couldn’t.
Then, the team started losing.

Women started dying.
And everything in my world broke apart.

My review

My review on Goodreads + pic

Moonshot is an absolute rollercoaster, which you do not expect and do not predict, not even for a moment. You may be sure that it will not be your another sweet romance. It’s so much more.

“Love has its own timeline, Tyler. Remember that.”

About the plot: Ty Rollins is a baseball’s child. Her father, baseball player, had to take her on the road at a very young age, and since then the team was her family. When she has 17 years old, she is a Yankees ball girl and the game is her whole life. When a sports star and notorious bad boy Chase Stern, has to join the team she is thrilled and overjoyed. Her father not so much.

Chase Stern is reckless and has various problems, but he always dreamed to play in the Yankees team. When he in disgrace goes to the team, he has no plans to change until he meets the teammate’s daughter, Ty. It is forbidden and may bring even more problems, but he can not stop his attraction to her.

Final thoughts: When you start a book and get to know the characters, you think how their story may develop further. My head spin with lot of ideas. At the end the story is predictable or not. In this case, there is nothing predictable in this book. Quite the opposite is a rollercoaster ride. You have a young forbidden love. Sexy baseball players. Incredible father and daughter bond. Emotional rides. Smoking hot bedtimes. Second chances. Mind blowing crime suspense, and angsty love triangle. The one thing you can be sure, it’s swing of emotions and sensations. Perhaps I even said too much, but this book has a lot of triggers. Hence, many completely contradictory rankings. So it’s good at least a little to know for what you need to prepare.

Why do I ranking five stars? Because I love books that causes emotional storms in my heart and head. I may disagree with certain decisions and it may hurt while reading, but it makes that the book is unforgettable, and stands out from the crowd. And this is something special, something what I could just re-read all over again.

This is my next book of Alessandra Torre and I love her way of writing, presenting and developing story. They are true, emotional and always unusual. If you’re ready for an exciting and intense experience, and not afraid of unpopular twists and turns, it’s definitely the book for you.

“Certain loves can’t be fought. The harder you tried, the harder you would be knocked back…”
